1956 Ford F100

This beautiful 56 F100 came to the shop with a great paintjob but just didn’t have the ford power it needed. A gen3 Coyote motor, Wilwood brakes, and a fresh bed make this truck shine.

Check out the build process below

Body lines on these trucks are almost perfect. The exterior will stay almost completely untouched. Other than removing the makeshift bed floor and replacing it with the cooler wood style.

A truly legendary front end. A 1956 F100 just screams hot rod.

Not the right place for a Chevy. We love the small block Chevy motors and they have a special place in our hearts… a place we don’t like them, however, is inside of a legendary Ford. This one was removed and put in a good home. We need to make way for some Ford power in this F100

The 2020 5.0L Coyote motor sure looks great in this truck. The Gen3 has an impressive 460hp and this truck will also enjoy the modern 10 speed auto.

To feed the 460hp beast we are installing more modern fuel systems. To install these, the bed floor must be removed. While taking out the bad, “raw metal” floor that was installed, we discovered nonwelded, unsealed, rusty, and incorrect bed structure. We will repair, replace, and weld all correct parts. We will then install the fuel system and top it off with a beautiful wood bed floor.

We love building custom parts here. These taillights tie in the stock style ‘56 F100 light with our custom-made mounts. We made these on our CNC table, Lathe and our Mill. They hide all the wiring inside and really give a custom look. We finished off the light housing with some new wrinkle black powder coating.

Another custom part made here at the Speed Shop. These aluminum bars and plates cover up the factory bed stake holes. They tie into a milled mount at the base holding them tight.
